The adoption center
Among the shelves of used books, Fat Cat Books is inhabited by multiple adult adoptable cats at any given time. All the kitties come from Feline Advocates of Leon County, a Tallahassee-operating non-profit.
The kitties are spayed or neutered and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. They have received their microchip and rabies vaccine and are free from parasites.
We do not discriminate with our kitties, we love them all; short hair, long hair, big or small. We also love our special needs kitties (such as Finn); every one of them deserves a chance at a loving home.
If you are interested in adopting, just let our employees know and we will make arrangements for the rescue to process your application.
Betty's BOUTIQUE
Betty spent long hours searching for local artists and artisans and found a rich array of goodies to sell in her little boutique.
Betty offers face masks, cat stickers, magnets, candles, earrings, soaps by a local soapery, and tons of other fun novelty items.
Betty's Boutique is located both at our bookstore and café location!
